Things to Do With Autistic Kids in Jacksonville

Looking for an autism-friendly place to play in Jacksonville? Sensory time at VOLT is built for kids with autism, sensory processing differences and anyone who does better with less noise. It is calm, low-crowd jump time: the music is off, sessions are not crowded, a calm-down room is ready when your child needs a break, and one adult or therapist comes in free with each jumper. Our team has run kids camps and programs for years, and you can tour the park before you book so your child knows what to expect.

A Sensory Gym-Style Space for Kids

During sensory time, VOLT works like a sensory gym-style space for kids: trampolines, soft play and climbing, with the music off and plenty of room to move.

Special Needs Activities, Indoors and Air Conditioned

For families looking for things to do with special needs kids, activities for autistic children or activities for kids with ADHD, sensory time gives kids room to move at their own pace. Jumping, climbing and the giant 3-story soft play make for active sensory play, and the quieter setting makes it easy quiet play too. Everything is indoors and air conditioned, so these indoor sensory activities run rain or shine, year round. Therapists are welcome: one adult or therapist comes in free with each jumper.

VOLT is at 9292 Arlington Expressway, within reach of autism families across Duval, St. Johns, Clay and Nassau counties, from Arlington, Mandarin and Southside to Orange Park, St. Johns, Jacksonville Beach and Fernandina.
